Economical but inefficient

Used for the first time but seems like it holds more water and the water doesn't drain properly so you get a nice big coffee set to drink from. I threshed the coffee finer than usual, thinking maybe it was just sticking to the sieve, but still getting the same results. I cleaned the coffee maker, maybe it's a machine but still the same.
