WOW what a bright light! I read other reviews before purchasing. What I've learned since owning it is that this unit is small enough to use a second outlet, but big enough to put out enough light to even read my thermostat on the wall. There have been mixed reviews about the motion detection feature. The motion sensor is located on the front of the device. If you approach a unit from the front, it will spot you from across the room. If you approach from the side near the wall where the plug is plugged in, your approach won't be detected as quickly because the sensor is in the front, not the side. If you remember where the sensor is when placing the device, you will be very happy with the motion detection. I love her! I wish I had found her sooner!
