Review on Wondise Flameless Taper Candles With Remote And Timer by Yolanda Hardison

Decent candles but not the desired brightness

I am a Buddhist. Part of my daily spiritual practice is offering incense, fruit, water and lighting candles. I sing and pray twice a day for 15 minutes to an hour (sometimes longer) and have candles burning the whole time. Still, after a few years, I got tired of constantly buying candles and scraping wax off my altar. I also have asthma so I figured it would be better for my health if the candles weren't burning all the time. The last box of traditional candles I ordered, most of them were cracked and dripping quite a bit (they're supposed to be non-drip candles) so I decided to try these battery operated candles. The candles arrived on time. and in good condition with no damage. They are made of wax, so they look and feel like real candles. They have a nice shimmering effect, but they're not as bright as we'd like. Even at maximum brightness, they are not as luminous as conventional candles. I think they are only meant to be seen from a distance. "The Flame" doesn't look that great up close as I sit in front of them at my altar. I like the column shape of the candles. As I usually have long burning candles I love that they have a remote control with a timer option. They don't fit tightly with my candlesticks, but they don't fall off. I probably won't be returning them as they serve the purpose I bought them for. I just wish they were brighter and looked a little more realistic up close. I think they would look better if the light inside was brighter than amber. I also think they are expensive for what you get. I wouldn't say don't buy these candles, but rather manage your expectations based on what you're using them for.
