I didn't even know there were two packs. I love that this is a cordless, rechargeable, touch-bright light that attaches to an adjustable clip on the base. I use it on the side of the couch/bedside table so I can see well when doing my nails, I use it in the bedroom to clip it to the head of the bed so I have good direct light for reading (I have mine ruined). Eye strain as a kid/teen and then as a law student for not making sure there were lights. I could basically read almost in the dark, but now that I'm in my 40's I have readers and these bright lights. Mine (kids-teens who are now too eyestrain with cell phones but are also traditional readers) have embraced black and regularly struggle to keep any kind of paperwork or even their laptop on their laps on their small desks for school or have homework.
