They were a little thin than expected. The inner baffles aren't removable or adjustable, but they're soft enough to accommodate larger shoes if needed. I bought these because they specifically said they fit in larger men's shoes. And the price for a 2 pack is very good. I use one for children's shoes (small toddler shoes fit 2 pairs in one compartment) and one for adults. I also like that they are breathable so the shoes are ventilated and still clean. Even if all compartments are full, it doesn't look very hard from the outside. But since one of them went under my bed and the other in the children's closet, it's ok for my needs.
