I'm a big fan of Melissa and Doug's toys and this one didn't disappoint. My little horse lover LOVES every detail of this toy. Quality matches most Melissa and Doug toys. I would even say that it can be considered better. All details are well made and durable. The little extras your child can personalize it with are really great, how the name stickers for the horse and how all the pieces can be placed anywhere in the stable. It seems to me what a fun addition would be if Melissa and Doug added a washable dry erase marker. The kit includes a checklist of the 'housework' required to take care of your new pet and this item is made from the same plastic as the hutch. So when my LO opened it up and started playing and insisted on being able to mark each term paper when she did, I dug up a dry erase marker for her and it worked great for wiping and repeating everyday. This is a really fun interactive toy with no batteries or screens. A win-win situation. Not to mention the lessons of responsibility that my LO learns without even realizing it. It's definitely mom and baby approved in our house and we've had plenty of playtime since Christmas!
