I was fed up with my dog taking the bed so I decided to upgrade from a full bed to a double bed and as I also sleep in a hot state this bed suited me. It took just over 48 hours out of the box to expand to its full 12-inch height, but I was still able to sleep on it the first night with no issues. The mattress actually sleeps significantly cooler than my last foam mattress and although it feels really firm you sink into it after a minute and it molds well to the contours of your body so side sleepers like me sleep very well on it. I found it very comfortable and breathable. Great mattress!
