Waste of money

I bought this cat mat a few months ago and installed it in my yard. At first it seemed to keep cats out of my yard. Fast forward: The carpet became completely brittle after a short exposure to the sun. It is so fragile that pieces will break off at the slightest touch! So not only is it completely unusable after a short while, the shards have also left a mess that I need to clean up. I've used other cat mats (black and green) and they all still work great after being in the sun for longer.
