I sleep with them because I don't like listening to dogs and my husband snoring. There aren't many good low-profile headphone options that you can leave on while you fall asleep. They're made of soft material, so you won't wake up with the pain of hard plastic pressing against your head or ear. They're actually quite small, so you probably won't notice them when you put them on. The downside, however, is the cord, which has two problems: First, I keep getting the feeling that in the middle of the night the cord is kind of wrapped around my neck and choking me, despite intentionally pulling it up from my ears over the pillow to avoid it - but hopefully it won't happen to anyone. Second, the umbilical cord is compressed, bent, twisted, and damaged during sleep. I actually bought a new pair because the cable snapped and eventually snapped on my first pair. Needless to say, I would prefer wireless headphones like these soft, flat designs to get rid of the cable entirely!
