Review on πŸ’» Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for iPad mini - Carbon Black: Seamless and Stylish Device Enhancement by Brian Henley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

pretty satisfied.

So far everything is fine. Delivered quickly, actually a day earlier. Very well packed. I bought this because I had good experiences with Logitech products and this tome/keyboard lived up to expectations. Being so thin it seems quite durable. The magnets keep it closed very well, and whoever's holding the iPad up is impressively strong too. I doubt it's possible to put your iPad mini to sleep just by closing the lid. I've tried and still see a blue glow around the edges. You should play it safe and use the sleep button. Also, the sleep/wake button is completely covered and requires some force to turn on. You have to try a little harder than you think. I was surprised that the iPad's side buttons don't close when the folio is closed. This isn't a deal breaker, but it's surprising considering how carefully sealed the sleep button is, and it could leave your device vulnerable to accidental muting or volume adjustments if you just toss it in a large bag or similar. The keys are a surprisingly decent size. Of course, they're a lot closer together than the average typist is used to, since the keyboard can't be wider than the device, and that requires you to give it some attention by checking your device's "home" position. Finger and practice with the half-size side buttons. But I do think that you can get used to the positioning over time. And they feel like real buttons, which I consider a strength. The surprisingly low price makes up for some shortcomings. Maybe I would wish for a bit more if I was completely dependent on my Mini for typing/arithmetic; But for the way I use it, just email and browsing, I think it will work just fine.

Pros
  • understandable for the old
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it is written
