The good thing about this lamp is that it's perfect for what my wife needs for piano lighting. Has three settings of light temperature from warm to cold. The adjustable arms are magical and make this lamp unique. On the one hand, it is an ideal piano lamp. However, you'll immediately find that if you need a power adapter, you'll have to email them, which they provide for free. For $40, I think holding your personal contact information hostage is absolutely horrible. I would give this one negative star if I could for that one lame move. If you want to use your own there is no documentation on how much power you need. Trial and error will tell you it's 2 amps or more. A 1 amp adapter will only make it blink.
