With 4 children, I try to avoid unnecessary children's equipment. Life is just easier without a lot of things. However, our newborn newborn has developed diaper rash that does NOT go away and walks like newborns all the time. (even more than normal newborns in my opinion), we changed more than 15 diapers a day and tried different creams (including prescription ones) for a week. I apply the cream to the area or dip/scoop a little from the jar before changing the baby, the sucking end keeps it out of the way until needed, the flexible pad ensures an even (and quick) distribution of the Cream on the baby's butt (and if you have a boy you'll especially appreciate it) and then the suckling keeps him out of the way until I change babies. Quickly wipe the diaper to clean it. I love the included container to keep the travel case separate in my diaper bag. I usually buy nappies and cream as baby shower gifts (not that exciting but ALWAYS appreciated) and will most likely start by taking one of these with me. and if you're interested in the baby's rash, it was an allergic rash so it quickly went away. automatically after switching to a special recipe.
