I have an older toy-sized dog that likes to sleep on the couch so he can see out the window. This means I have a nightmare removing hair from this area. I bought a small version of this and put it where he likes to sit and he loves it and the hair problem is solved! He loves it so much I bought a big one to put on the bed where he likes to sleep. I figured he needed more than just a blanket and he immediately took it. I'd say the small one isn't as thick or donut-like as the middle one, but not as noticeable. Also, the jump in size from small to medium is quite significant, so make sure you measure yourself and your dog correctly. My dog is 8.5 pounds and 11.5 inches long. In the small one it fits in well, in the middle it has a lot of space. I know there are more expensive ones, there is an "official" original. I don't know exactly what they offer three times cheaper. But my dog loves his beds and I can't imagine what the official bed offers that this one doesn't. Think about buying a third car!
