Review on Buxton Heiress Double Cardex Wallet: Organize Your Cards in Style by Billy Berry

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good price good quality but too bulky when filled with cards

This BUXTON HEIRESS DOUBLE CARDEX wallet is a quality wallet with a great value for money. (about $23 at Revain). However, when loaded with cards, it's so bulky and thick that it doesn't easily fit in my wallet, and it's difficult to manipulate when I need to get the card out (despite my large hands). Although I only carry three credit/debit cards with me, I have many shopper loyalty cards (e.g. Safeway, Staples) that I use regularly. Unfortunately, slot machines don't work well with bonus cards. Cards inserted into the bottom two slots overlap (so you can't see which card is underneath). Also, the slots are narrow so only one card can fit, and the cards are difficult to remove. In fact, the extra "side" just adds extra volume. Also, the bulk of the cards makes it difficult to stuff paper money into a long pocket. The purse is roomy and has a zip closure, which is a good thing - zipped coin purses tend to "leak" loose change, and zips always break long before the rest of the purse needs to be replaced. If you have to carry a lot of cards, consider a trifold wallet (like the Access Denied Womens Trifold Wallet Slim Line). I really like this because slots accept more than one card (so I can group my reward cards) and cards can be removed from slots fairly easily. With this wallet, I put my extra cards in a windowed card holder (such as a 20-card plastic wallet (cut in half to reduce bulk and only holds 10 cards)) and put them in the paper wallet. As this is a high quality wallet but too bulky to insert cards, I'm giving this Buxton Heiress wallet a 3 star ("Is OK" on the official Revain scale).
