Review on πŸ–±οΈ Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse - Hero 12K Sensor, 12,000 DPI, Lightweight, 6 Programmable Buttons, 250h Battery Life, On-Board Memory - Blue (PC/Mac) by Russell Robertson

Great connectivity but outdated ergonomics - side buttons fell out after 3 months

Edit: 03/16/2020 Downgrading my rating to 1 star. The side buttons now work intermittently and sometimes not at all. For nearly $60, this shouldn't happen. Still nothing from Logitech other than a recorded message that they are not requesting calls to use email due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak. Then click...". However, they also do not respond to emails. Revane said that they could only help if I received a guarantee statement with a refusal. I explained that I could not receive this email because I can't contact them because the entire company seems to be closed indefinitely. Eventually I got a replacement but it took a while. Well at least for now. I'm stuck with a $60 plastic paper weight. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I will just talking about the ergonomics of this mouse. Logitech delivers the fastest input lag of any wireless mouse and there are tech websites to prove it. So if you want a mouse with near zero input lag go to Logitech. I've only just got this mouse for a week or so i knew what i wanted i need lag free input for gaming and i need a small mouse (like the logitech m325) that is not a gaming mouse i use Thumb and little finger, which is not possible with large mice. In addition, larger mice cause pain in the hand. This is because larger mice require you to raise your wrist to "palm-wise" move the mouse. With a small mouse and a small finger grip, my entire hand and wrist rests on a table or chair wherever I use the mouse. Lowering the wrist and arm reduces fatigue. General Ergonomics: The G305 is Logitech's smallest wireless gaming mouse. It's still about an inch longer than the M325 and wider (see images for Logitech 325 vs G305 comparison). The longer and bigger the mouse, the more you have to raise your wrist to press the buttons and use the mouse. Some people prefer this type of grip, but for me it's painful and not as accurate as if my hand and wrist were relaxed and flat. So, that's it for me. I can use this mouse without lifting my wrist, but barely. If the mouse was another 1/2 inch longer I wouldn't be able to. It seems like all gaming mice Logitech makes are pretty big. (general use, business) all have ergonomically designed side areas where your fingers (like some gaming mice) rest on the mouse and don't allow them to move. This reduces fatigue. , and there's no ergonomic concave part to keep your finger in place. Additionally, many Logitech mice have a tactile grip material where your fingers touch, which keeps your fingers in place. The M325 creates a sticky feeling where your fingers hold the mouse. The G305 has a matte finish but feels very slippery. I often find myself "catching" the mouse, and it seems to me that it wants to slip out of my grasp. Ergonomics - the feeling of being slippery, like it wants to slip out of your hand. "For the smallest wireless gaming mouse Logitech makes, it could be a bit smaller. You already have bigger and even giant gaming mice. Opinion: I think building a gaming mouse around the M325 and adding two programmable buttons on the left side of the M325 would be a huge achievement. I've read a lot and spoken to many gamers who would love a smaller mouse, and many who actually use the M325 for general computing applications (see Logitech 325 vs G305 comparison images). So yes, a G325 gaming mouse based specifically on the M325 would be a great gaming mouse.
