I bought an old manual wind watch off ebay for $9.99 to learn more about mechanical watches. First, I wanted to learn how to clean and polish them to make old watches look better. That's why I bought this product. There are plenty of internet comments and YouTube videos on the subject, but this product (like Brasso, to be honest) often gets caught. I have purchased reusable pouches with multiple wipes in each. In fact, to polish my watch, I cut a small piece off a large cloth and left with it. Using constant, moderate pressure, the product polishes the stainless steel, removing small nicks but no large dents. When you rub metal with a cloth, you actually erase the material by removing a very thin layer from the object. I think it worked well but certainly didn't work miracles. This is a good product to use without any tools or polishing pad. Each resealable Mylar bag contains plenty of wipes for most uses and should last a long time. A good product.
