I'm a nurse and by the end of my long 12 hour shift my compression stockings are sometimes sold out. I thought we use wedge pillows at work, maybe we should try it at home. Glad you did! When I wake up my feet are noticeably less sore/swollen. I love that I can open the Velcro on the sides and choose between two corners. For those wondering, these are two separate pillows, but the soft pillowcases are sewn together one seam at a time and easily attach with Velcro to hold them together. You can take the pillows out of the pillowcases to wash (thin zipper), but I haven't tried it yet. Not shown is a sewn-on handle that makes carrying this chunky item easier. I'm also a fan of bugs, after careful checking I didn't find them. I've seen terrible reviews on other Amazon products so I just wanted to clear up any concerns. He came to my house in super vacuum packaging and needed time to sulk. I used this pillow behind my back to read in bed. My husband even used this pillow (at the tiniest angle) to prop him up when he had a severe nasal congestion/upper airway defect. It really helped him breathe easily. I bet this would work if you had GERD too. If you have a family member that you are caring for at home who needs to turn over in bed, I think this pillow will work well to keep them still so they can treat/prevent bedsores. When using it for this purpose, try to protect the pillow from bodily fluids. Haven't tried machine washing the cover yet, so I don't know. If you're looking for a soft pad, this isn't it - wedge-shaped pads need to be firm to do their job properly. They do not collapse significantly when pressure is applied. Their "softness" is comparable to those I use at work. Even better.
