Review on KitchenAid KFE35T Edge Beater White by Larry Willis

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It all ends at the top of the bowl

I am a baker and cake decorator and recently purchased a 3.5 liter Artisan mini blender to complement my 5 liter Artisan and 6 liter professional blenders add to. I absolutely hate throwing away the bowl and my own fly knives for two large models. The original mixing blade for the KitchenAid Bowl Lift Mixer. Unfortunately they don't make them for minis yet, so I thought I'd give it a try. Firstly it only has a rubber piece on one side so it takes longer to collect the mixture and for some reason after a minute or so of beating the sugar and butter it all ends up in the top of the bowl (see picture). Most recipes I use call for standard amounts: 1 cup butter (2 sticks) and 1-2 cups sugar. Having to constantly empty the bowl defeats the purpose of owning this product, it works a little better than the standard whisk that the mixer comes with but not by much.

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • Interchangeability
