First interesting note, the LEDs themselves are actually colored. The running lights and brake are red, the corners are yellow and the license plate is white. In other words, you don't need a red plastic filter to get the right signal colors. I discovered this when taking it apart, because unfortunately my circuit board failed after just a few weeks. All red LEDs are off, so no running lights or brake lights. Turn signals and license plate lights work. As a workaround I soldered in some new LEDs. Installation takes a bit of creativity, but it's made of decently hard plastic. If the circuit board hadn't broke so quickly I would have given 5 stars.
