Shoes for those who work and walk

While they may look like regular slip-on loafers, they are definitely superior in many ways. The leather becomes very shiny and can be wiped off with a cloth to preserve the look. The leather is "hard" but thick and gives my ankles some support. The outsole and shell make these shoes suitable for long walks or toe work on hard surfaces. I'd say they're a little mismatched with a suit, but I've done so several times without comment. . They don't look like flashy shoes, but they don't look worn or too casual either. In anything less than a suit, like in a business-style professional office, these are great shoes. The build quality is quite high. The stitching is very thin, the inside of the shoe is comfortable and thick, and the sole is very durable. The shoes feel like a solid piece of material and apart from the added weight they look very much like good running shoes. I expect them to last about a year before the durable outsole support wears out. I walk a lot and am unfortunately a heavier guy so I know I need to invest in nicer shoes and replace them when they get out of shape. Surprisingly, most loafers that compete with them feel lumpy, saggy, and uncomfortable even when they're brand new. In a way, they probably feel comfortable in a shoe store. In fact, these are leather socks! But if you run a lot, you need something with a small body and support. Your legs will feel a lot better at the end of the day. If you think about it, these are great shoes. The fit was exactly what I expected, although the stiff support can make them feel a little tight (not tight) on the sides.

Pros
  • These shoes are very comfortable, fit well and look great.
Cons
  • The size may not be correct
