****Problem installing the batteries*****Read here*****How to solve it easily*****I just received these flashlights that I will use for astrophotography. the fact that many reviewers claimed that the batteries would not stay in place properly. Because of their rechargeable batteries, the fact that they come with nice little cases, filter gels, etc. For the price I figured what the heck I'd check to see what the problem is and if it doesn't solve it, just wrap an elastic hair band or velcro around the device to keep the battery inside . No big deal, right? So I got the nice little devices (I ordered 2) and I went to put the battery in and like most reviewers I had the same problem. HOW TO RELEASE THE BATTERY FROM THE DROP: See how the battery and side clips work, everything is clear. Notice the slots on the sides of the battery? Notice the 4 corresponding plastic cutouts that these batteries go into and secure inside the flashlight? The problem is actually in the battery itself and not the bulb! Carefully inspect the battery slide cutouts. See those latches (at the bottom of the slider notches)? There are 4. They are inserted into the latches inside the flashlight body. Now check carefully that these small tabs do not bend open here along the grooves! If that's the case, they can't allow the battery to slide down the house's lighting strips to snap them into place! Instead, the back of the battery is raised, not blocked! This is very easy to solve by simply using a large flathead screwdriver and bending down those locking tabs on the battery so they are nice and straight. forward toward the two metal pins until the metal pins are fully inserted into the battery. When done correctly, the battery will slide forward fully flush and aligned, with no angles. If it doesn't, you still have a tab running along the battery. TIP: The front locks are probably not even needed since the metal pins hold the front. So if you need to put the brakes on them right away, go ahead. Rear slide locks and front pins more than securely hold the battery. However, if you are careful you will have no trouble connecting these slide latches so that the battery pack can slide forward and latch. Now you will find that you can try and try but you will NEVER be able to remove the battery not very very hard by sliding it back into the lock and now you will see that the battery can never fall out after you have done this little tweak to move the locks on your battery. Welcome back! :) The light kit looks like a super bargain for the price! I can't wait to try them out as low level lighting for my nightscapes!
