Review on Burlap Drawstring Celebration Favor for Birthdays and Weddings by Jay Jeong

I really want to give these burlap a higher score but they just stink. Literally. These bags smell strongly of oil. I put them outside for 24 hours to "weather" them and the oil smell hasn't changed. I washed two (2) bags thinking the detergent and fabric softener would get rid of the oil smell. No, they only enhanced the smell. how is that possible"?!?!? I was planning to use these bags for my knitting projects. Before using these jute bags, I need to put my knits in plastic ziplock bags. The smell just stays in your nostrils. I me definitely wouldn't use these food storage bags, these bags are good to use if you don't put anything in them that can/will absorb the smell of oil.
