This item definitely has its pros and cons, but it worked for me. My pup has two bags - one for quick errands and a much nicer one (big, soft) for air travel and when he commutes with me to work. It's perfect for short periods - I keep it in the car for when I need to run a quick errand - but I wouldn't leave my pup there for long periods of time as I don't think it's comfortable for him. It's small compared to other dog bags but just the size I wanted. But my dog only weighs 4 kilos. Also, it's not designed to stick its head out, which is a plus for me but might be a minus for you. Finally, it's not soft - it has a hard bottom, so I put a baby blanket inside to make it a little more comfortable.
