Question here: Here in Texas the distance between two spike centers is about 16 inches. However, on all furniture, the main board/shelf is also 16" long, however, the nail holes are more inside the board, which means you can only nail one end, the other part will definitely be on the drywall. The cat shelf is good, when it is placed horizontally, the length between the holes on the two ends is about 32" and it can be fixed with rivets. Also, my cats like it horizontally: it's wide and they can actually stay on it. For stairs, I use a swivel to connect them and they can be mounted on bolts.the cat joint and cat shelf are too short As for the scratching post, the standing board is too small and my cats don't want to stand on it.In any case,I just want you to know let me say that my husband and I spent at least 8 hours trying to figure out a solution to hook up the ladder, find the hairpin, etc. It's such a pain! en wants to release products in the North American market, it should at least have thought about the reality and design of a house here, the design makes sense in Japan or China, but really only lacks 1 or 2 inches here. ! They had to change the length of the furniture by just adding 1/2 inch or moving the nail holes 16 inches or 32 inches, it's not that hard! So think about it before you buy. They look smart and the furniture itself is sturdy and I think it's hardwood but the installation frustrates me! (The bobby pin is only 1/2 inch, but you can't fix it!)
