I ordered this to replace a nested bean sleeping bag my daughter had outgrown. My 21 month old daughter is quite warm and we are now dressing her in fleece pajamas so this bag will be too big for her. While the shoulder buttons are nice (like our nested beans), the front zip is plastic and my little one mastered those zips. Within 2 minutes of putting it on to try it on, she figured out how to unzip it. Since she won't keep it if she can open it (especially since the zipper only opens from the bottom), we're bringing it back. If you have a child who can open plastic zippers, this sleeping bag is not for you. I would also be concerned about wear and tear on the plastic zip - we would be using the sleeping bag for well over a year and I would be worried that the plastic zip would wear out. We've been using our nested bean for over a year now and it has metal zippers that hold up really well.
