Review on Wallscapes GL9020CLKIT Glacier Clear Glass by Casey Oliver

Suggestion: Use your own anchors to avoid reassembly.

I agree with other reviewers that it's advisable to omit the supplied wall anchors and use your own. pre-drilled hole. Then, after installation, only one of the screws is actually tightly screwed into the dowels, the others not screwed all the way in, and then just twist the dowels into the wall! I had to remove the shelf, ripping out the wall anchors, which left holes larger than the wall anchors we had in our personal stash. I had to move the shelf from the exact original spot where I wanted it to use new anchors in the hard drywall after grouting the failed anchor holes. Since I had the shelf exactly where I wanted it the first time around and didn't have much room to move it around for the new holes that are now in place, you can see some damage behind the top of the shelf after you do this installed it with our own anchors. To make it look better I had to putty, sand and paint over the failed holes and rewire, which I didn't have the time or patience for. In my application it's not a big deal, but creating a good setup would take much longer. Using anchors that you know will work for you will likely save you from all that. Also, like others, there are no instructions on how to use duct tape, or an explanation of what the two separate, weird-looking pieces of metal are, which I found out later. this is what shelf connections should be read about if more than one shelf is somehow assembled together. I put tape along the back so each piece is on top but not far enough to be seen once installed. Don't forget to clean the glass before installation. Also, it took some force to slide the screws into the plane. which my husband completed for me. Note that the included screws look like drywall pan head screws which may work without anchors in some applications, but I will still use anchors for safety reasons, especially when children are present or dangerous situations may arise.
