This jacket does its job well. We bought it for our son because every store here already has spring supplies (there are no thick jackets in the store) and our son somehow lost his thick jacket at school. It's water-repellent, which is good for rainy days, and the hood is detachable, which we love. This keeps him warm and snuggly. We bought a medium and it fit him a little loosely which is what we expected as he is a fast grower. Our son is 5 years old and around 38-39 pounds, average height. It looks a little harsh when worn, but still! As long as it's comfortable and keeps the cold out, we're happy.
