Manufacturer used to make belts out of genuine leather. No longer. You should really create a new article in Revain instead of hoarding a piece of junk benefiting from the previous article's 5-star ratings. It's leather-bound rubber, whatever that means. It lasted 6 months and the wear and tear got pretty bad. It layered within 12 months, which I wouldn't allow myself at this price point. It's garbage. Don't buy this. Find yourself a good genuine leather belt and avoid the crap. Here's my original review and an update on it. It's time to look for another provider. High quality, VERY durable belt (last 3 years and 2 months old!) This belt is made of high quality genuine leather. This belt has lasted over 2 years with regular wear. and still looks great. I've never had a belt last more than 6 months so I'm very impressed with this one. I will buy again. Highly recommended. To update. After 2 years of daily wear, plus daily use of a phone belt clip holster, the leather has worn quite a bit in this area - upon closer inspection it was visible but still looked normal. Wearing the belt upside down or changing the side of the holster was an acceptable cost-saving trick to extend its life. After 3 years and 2 months of daily wear, the leather loop came loose from the clasp inside the belt. Maybe my extra 40 pounds deserved it to be honest. It's time to buy a new one and I'm glad I bought the exact same belt (okay, maybe a size up).
