I love the LED lights and the feel of typing on this keyboard. It holds its charge well and has a slot to store your Apple pencil. It also has an extra row of function keys that the Apple smart keyboard does not have, saving you some extra keystrokes on occasion. The cover when closed completely contains the keyboard and the iPad, not just the front of the iPad.The cons of this keyboard are that it is not designed so the keyboard can be folded up behind the iPad to get it out of the way when you don't want to use it (for example, when traveling and you want to watch a movie). Also, when standing the iPad up and using the keyboard, the iPad is too upright to see properly. You can slide the keyboard forward on the bottom of the case so that you can tilt the iPad back more, but this is a little annoying. Finally (and this is not a dealbreaker for me) it is a bit heavy, which can slightly defeat the purpose of having a lightweight iPad Air.All in all, it is a well made and functional keyboard. Whether it works for you depends on your priorities with your iPad
