We live in a village and we have a lot of power cuts. Lanterns and candles are kept throughout the great house. I love this set of compact cuties for their versatility and ease. When closed (torch mode) they are only 5 inches tall. To open the lantern, simply loosen the strap at one end and gently pull the top ring to reveal the 2.5" LED lighting. They are not heavy. Duties but for my purpose they are PERFECT. LED lights don't drain the battery as quickly (I can't tell how many hours the included batteries last, but we keep a stock of batteries on hand for when it starts to run low. The flashlight does a good job of moving around. The one -/Off switch works either a flashlight or a flashlight in one click. One press turns the flashlight on. Press out. Press to turn on the flashlight. The lens caps are plastic (one of ours arrived broken during shipping), but it still works great if this happens to you, Revain will replace it quickly.The lens caps were plastic.When I ride with my pets.I am very satisfied!
