This is a cute little tractor set that makes some noise (pushing on the tractors seat.) The trailer can be easily disconnected to the tractor, so if your children are too young, you might be constantly re-attaching them. (Though if you have more than one child, this could be a good thing, as they can be separated into two toys.) I've found the kids enjoy just holding onto the animals more than having them ride in the trailer. lol It states that it is for 18 months and up, but unless the plastic breaks into pieces, it is fine for 1 year and up. The animals (the smallest pieces of the set) are big enough that it would take some serious work for a child to choke on them. The sound aspect of it isn't too loud, so it's not annoying like many of the toys that make noise are. My main complaint would be that I wished the tractor would make the noise of the individual animal that sits on it. but the tractor does make the animal noises. It feels sturdy, but we haven't had the product for too long, so I can't say how it holds up over a long period of time.
