This is exactly what I needed. I have 6 hens that lay 5-6 eggs every week. I kept the eggs in a lovely chicken coop but had to swap them out so I dated each egg and took out all the eggs every few days to get at the older eggs. This egg setting eliminates the need to sort or date eggs. My girls lay eggs ranging from small to very large (my scale doesn't weigh the largest eggs). The eggs move across the grid with minimal lag, even with extra giants if you place them end-down. Holds 30 to 34 eggs depending on size. It has a very stable base and takes up little countertop space, which is a big plus compared to a storage basket. While the eggs fall on their own most of the time, some get stuck and require careful handling, but I haven't had a single broken egg because of this. I can't say enough good things about this egg cooker. If you have fresh eggs to store, you can't go wrong with this item.
