They don't have to be as good as Bose or Beats, but they get the job done. The sound quality isn't as bad and even louder than most budget headphones. If you are looking for something similar to vintage iPod/iPhone headphones at a great price, this is for you. I bought some cheap headphones from Amazon and they always break within a month. They lasted some time. And it's great that I have 3 pairs: 1 for the car, 1 for the house and 1 spare in case I break a pair.
