When traveling abroad some things shouldn't be in a backpack - they should be with you, under your shirt so you know they're always there. You must have money, keys and a passport - and for that this little gadget is perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by the small pocket on the side of the main bag which was useful for storing the rental car keys. Meanwhile, my passport and a few spare bills fit easily into the main pocket. All of this has brought me peace of mind - as a person who uses public transport and wanders through crowded places, I always worry that my backpack might be a target - this allows me to travel with peace of mind. Another advantage over a conventional belt bag is that the hip belt is made of a very comfortable stretch material. I found it didn't chafe, especially since I wore it under my clothes. It was really important for travel. All in all a great product that I would recommend!
