I think the biggest advantage of this cooling pad is that the laptop is overhanging the surface and not two fans. The two fans are quite weak, and in fact you hardly feel the air being pushed or pulled by the fans. In short: Pros: The fans are very quiet. The ability for the user to select fan placement is a great feature as every laptop is configured differently. Helps cool my laptop but mainly because it elevates my laptop for better airflow is weak and will probably only help marginally. Your laptop can easily slide off the front of the pillow when tilted down without a locking mechanism/edge to stop it. Overall, this pillow does a good job of keeping my rather hot laptop cool. I just wish the fans were a bit more powerful to improve the overall cooling result.
