It took me a few tries to line up both pockets on either side of my chest (and I wanted them both to open top to bottom), but after lots of trial and error I figured it out . Nice autumn scarf, not too heavy to keep warm in winter. The only thing I don't like is that the fabric is a very light (almost ribbed) jersey, so I can see that it stretches quite quickly. When I put my Iphone 7 in one of the pockets, it didn't "stop" at the bottom of the pocket, but rather stretched the jersey and dropped to mid-chest with the phone clearly defined. So it doesn't look very pretty when you add a phone or keys. Light flat items - driver's license, cash, credit card, passport - are not a problem, but the heavier the item (keys, phone), the more the scarf will stretch and weigh in the pocket and look like there are some items hidden inside. -- What do you do! I really like it, but would have liked a heavier/thicker/non-stretch knitted scarf with a large zipper that I can easily find and a pocket that doesn't stretch as much. Overall this is a good product and nicely packaged for a gift but there are some downsides, at least for me.
