My 3 year old son is below average but I bought him a size 5 anyway. Why, because other sizes are either too tight and uncomfortable or just too small. The size 5 also has some wiggle room for its growth spur. As for durability, I can't say how good it will be yet. If it breaks before my son outgrows it, I'll deduct a few points again. For example if you are reading this in 2 or 3 years time on December 28th 2020 and it has not been edited then yes, longevity is top notch. As for the price, yes it's a bit pricey, but that's the price you'll pay for licensed products.
