WOW. The reviews on here led me astray. Let me help you out, I recently lost 25 pounds (Still have another 20 to go :-/) and I wear a size 14 in most jeans, 16 in others. I do have a gut that I like to hide. This dress was snug on my stomach area and fit well everywhere else.It is VERY short. Let me reiterate that, VERY, VERY, VERY short. To be fair, the dress is described as "mini" haha I bent down and you could see my undies. I think if you ordered the dress in black and wore black stockings, you'd be fine though.I'm sending my dress back and switching from a Large to an XL. Hoping the second time is a charm. Unless you like to wear skintight clothes and don't care about showing off your chubby stomach/hips, do NOT size down.P.S. the dress doesn't feel cheap and it looks INCREDIBLE. It feels more like an $80/100 dress than a $35 one. It was a bit scratchy and itchy hence the 4-star review.
