This is a generic grocery bag found at Shop Rite or your favorite grocery store. It's large, so you'd expect it to be able to hold a few items that weigh a little. I felt this bag was a good size but the paper was too thin to hold many items. You had to support it from underneath because you felt it would tear at the bottom seam where it was glued. If you try to lift a filled bag by holding the top by two opposite sides, the bag often tears on one or both sides. Nor were these sacks filled with dozens of weighted cans. This manufacturer simply used paper that was too thin to be practical. I'm packing food for the pantry operated by our church and had to order more bags. The bags we usually get as gifts are beautiful, thick, and durable, and we've never had a problem filling them with canned goods, boxes, and other items that we give out to families in need every week. Next time I will not believe the description and the stated weight. I'll buy something that can hold more weight than I need and just pay the extra money. As it stands now I have to double the bags to fit the groceries we give out each week. Very disappointed.
