Review on Imperative Décor Floating Shelves Rustic by Michael Norwood

Bad thought and bad quality control

I don't write many reviews but I had to write this one for the following reasons.1. Traces of fragments are visible at the ends of both parts when cutting. It's not exactly what I would call ideal for a finished piece of wood at this price point. Like it or not, one of my shelves is missing a large piece. I understand that this is natural, but why not throw away this piece and send another without any problems? 3. The shelves will be slightly lifted off the wall as the back is not recessed for the thickness of the mounting hardware. I've seen other shelves that have the back turned out to compensate for this, allowing the shelves to sit flush with the wall. One of my shelves was sanded and then sanded some more as you can see by the large radius on one end. It's unique to a one-sided only site, but like my #2 issue, why not just throw that part away and send the other one without this issue? Overall I don't think the value matches the price; There is no quality control and it doesn't seem to be well thought out. I would definitely consider other shelves before buying these again.
