I recently upgraded my Audio Technica LP-60 turntable to a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Espirt. Everyone always says that placing speakers on the same surface as your turntable degrades sound quality. Since I was already in the process of upgrading, I decided it was time to do something with the speakers on the same shelf. What I liked most about them is how easy they are to set up. They are lightweight but durable. Even after placing them, I could easily move them around. The instructions are clearly labeled and both can be put together in 10 minutes or less. I have Edifier commercial bookshelf speakers that fit perfectly. There is actually some room left in case I want to upgrade to something bigger. While I can't say if moving them made a difference, I will say they sound fantastic. I also like the look of the speakers on the side. My only hit will be the price. Luckily I got an easy deal with them. With that in mind, plus the $10 discount coupon now available, I paid about $46 for them. It seemed like the right price to them. At $60+ I'd say wait for a sale. In general I am very happy with them. If you need an easy solution to move speakers off the same surface as your turntable, this will help.
