I seriously question the intelligence of the reviewers who claim that the motion detection doesn't work. Em. maybe because it doesn't work from the movement. Rather, night lights are activated when there is a lack of light in the room. Nowhere in the product description does it say that the light comes on when there is movement. Reviews say they don't provide enough light to prevent the user from bumping into objects, eyesight may need to be checked. I have 3 at home (bathroom, hallway, kitchen). and they give off more than enough light to make out the outlines of furniture and other objects so you don't run into them. Crazy reviews with misrepresentations are even more frustrating when shopping and trying to narrow down the high-cost products. .At the same time, these are cute little lights. You don't block both sockets and leave the second one free. As soon as the curtains are drawn or there is not enough sunlight or artificial light in the room, they switch on. They subtly dampen the brightness so that you can find your way around even in a dark house. (I wouldn't recommend using it as a night light if you're sensitive to light in the bedroom or while sleeping.) Luckily I didn't notice any flickering, or the lights didn't work at all as some reviews claim. The only criticism is the lack of color. Choice in option 4 packages.
