The current token market allows to build applications where people can earn more tokens by sharing information or taking part in surveys than they would normally be earning using traditional advertising methods such as display ads through google adwords etc.

It's currently not very easy nor user friendly to understand how it works but I am sure this will improve with age and experience. For example if you want to participate and share info about your favorite brand then there should probably also be an opt out option like youtube (which i don't think anyone has yet). Otherwise the platform helps companies reach influencers who are likely customers already so increasing engagement rates without forcing them into paying huge amounts of money per click which could get expensive fast - especially when reaching new markets overseas.
