I'm a grown woman with a very small head so I took a chance based on other reviews of this hat being smaller than average. Glad you did! It doesn't hang over my ears and I can tighten it just enough so it doesn't feel too loose. I ordered the Bordeaux color and it looks just like the picture. I like to wear it in a ponytail on not-so-lucky days. It will also be great when I go hiking or spend time in the sun. I wore it to the store with a mask and got very overheated - both in 90 degree wet weather is not ideal. But when the mask is not needed, the hat itself does not feel too hot. It probably won't get that hot in winter, but ok. Great price for a good hat!
