These Jambu Mary Janes are incredibly lightweight, super girly and made to go from the playground to the pool to the beach to the restaurant. They look great with shorts, trousers or dresses. I have pink and purple, pink. A gold/pink/purple ribbon runs through the toe and onto the strap, adding a shine my granddaughter loves so much. The base of the shoe is a pink mesh that is soft and breathable. The edges of the shoes are lined with pink knit fabric to prevent blisters. There is a strap loop on the back of the heel to make it easier for children to put on the shoes. The outsole is made of ultra-lightweight material and has a molded toe cap to protect little toes. This is an adorable pink/purple/grey camouflage pattern that's a lot cuter than it looks. The underside of the sole is heavily textured, making them great for walking on rocky beaches or river beds. They also dry very quickly. soft molded purple material similar to the material used to make Crocs. The strap is attached with Velcro. Like other reviewers, my granddaughter's strap is too long. I solved this problem by cutting off part of the strap end and then applying some clear silicone to the area where I cut it to soften it so the stitching doesn't come out where I cut it. I don't know how long the silicone will last, but it looks and works well so far. I bought them because my granddaughter usually wears flip flops when she comes to visit. We have a membership at the Children's Museum and we go every time. This museum is amazing and has a climbing function, water play function, musical staircase and many other active functions. In these shoes she can move from one function to another and I never worry about her slipping or losing her balance. They are perfect for the little girl who is gross and clumsy but still wants to wear girly clothes and shoes. My granddaughter loves these.
