I have a set of brushes from DUcare that cost a lot less than these and they are good. This set of red bristles isn't really that different from cheap brushes, except that the bristles are red. The handles on these brushes are a little different than most, but I don't think they're better - just different. The brushes are soft and each one is very useful. They don't pill and look very nice in a brush holder or transparent brush case. The box looks cheap and takes up too much space so I threw it away and put it in a clear plastic sleeve. These brushes are fine. I just think they are very overpriced for the quality. I paid $40,000 for a brush, so I know good brushes can be very expensive. But it's not high end. However, if you love the looks or are buying a gift and want to impress someone with these pretty brushes, they do their job well and seem to hold up to heavy use. If they were half the price this would be a good buy. But for $69.99 (at the time of this review) they just aren't good enough for me to rate them more than 3 stars.
