Why supply deformed shuttlecocks?

The shuttlecocks were stuffed into the case and deformed: flat, unplayable. They've been on the shelf for weeks now and are slowly returning to their original shape, although they may never be quite straight. I had to order a set of shuttlecocks in a box and used them. Racquets swing easily for beginners and intermediate players. They are few compared to what I remember from the 80's and 90's, although maybe these are just my memories. I miss the shuttlecock completely or "frame" it more often than I expected, but it just takes a little getting used to. Perhaps size is a compromise between ease of swing and ease of "finding" the shuttlecock. I would be interested in larger heads but not sure if they are available. After a week of playing, the grip on my grip came loose and shifted, exposing the grip. It hasn't been removed yet and I've noticed that they have extra support, but I have no interest in picking up my new racquet again after a few weeks of use. And after using the extra grip, what? A brand new product should be used longer after unpacking. I'm considering returning it but not sure which racquet would be better in the price range. All clubs seem to have a mix of good and bad reviews. It's almost like getting lucky in a draw, otherwise you get what you paid for.
