I really wanted to like this product I bought for my 2 little avid readers. I bought 2 for Christmas and one didn't work at all when it arrived (even with a new battery). We returned it and got a new one, the new one had a loose mechanism somewhere that I can't fix on arrival and the light goes out by itself. The other one that worked for 2 months now also flickers because the pin holding the hinge is broken and an internal mechanism has come loose. Now I will buy my kids more durable "adult" book lamps. They're not the kind of kids who abuse their toys, let alone their non-toys, so it was quite a frustrating experience.
