Review on Keychron K2 V2: Wireless Mechanical Keyboard with Gateron Brown Switch, 84 Keys, Mac Windows Compatible by Darryl Blumenthal

One of the best mechanical keyboards I have ever used

This is a Keychron K2 review with Gateron BLUE switches although I tried both BROWN and RED. This is a great keyboard. I have several mechanical keyboards, the best of which are made by Daskeyboard, but I wanted Bluetooth to pair with my iPad using mechanical switches for typing, so I decided to try all 3 Keychron models. Whichever switch you choose, the Keychron keyboard quality on the K2 is excellent, although of course we've yet to see how well it holds up over time. It pairs seamlessly with my Apple devices and has been flawless so far. On the side there is a switch for Apple or Microsoft OS, as well as a button for adjusting the backlight. The keyboard is compact but not cramped, and the lack of a numeric keypad allows it to take up much less space than a full keyboard. It prints well in a horizontal position and maybe even better when raised with built-in hinges or legs that fold down at the bottom. I chose the BLUE switches because they are best for long typing sessions. I found the build quality of the Keychron and the tactile quality of the Gateron switches better than any other mechanical device I own, with the exception of the full-size non-Bluetooth daskeyboard keyboard with Cherry MX switches, which is only slightly better due to the distance between them. Key. However, this is a full-size keyboard, not Bluetooth, and I'm not even sure if they make the same model. Anyway, Keychron is so close to BLUE that I'm very glad I found it. As for the BROWN and RED models, I would say that if you've never owned a mechanical drive before, the RED is the best choice for general use as it's a bit quieter and smoother than the others. To my taste, RED is great for typing, albeit noisy, but for great all-around Bluetooth, I'd probably go with BROWN or GREEN instead. On the other hand, BROWN might be better for typing with a small bump when the key is down. All 3 models are excellent; it all depends on your preference. All in all, I don't know of a better Bluetooth model and I'm so happy with it that I'm no longer looking for keyboards.
