I've had the Jellyfish lamp for 5 1/2 months now. The jellyfish often just swam to the top of the lamp because they had air bubbles in them. Well - NO MORE! What you need to do is turn on the lamp for 5 minutes without fish. It helps to squeeze (hit) the lamp to make any tiny air bubbles float to the top. If you don't do this, the air bubbles will eventually be pushed out the bottom/side of the lamp and into the interior of the jellyfish, causing them to rise to the top. During that first 5 minute run, it helps to turn the lamp off and back on once or twice - this seems to help get rid of the bubbles. When placing the fish in the lamp, be sure to turn the (already wet) fish upside down (make sure there are no air bubbles). Voila! No more floating dead fish. One thing the developers could do to improve the lamp is to make the remote sensor more sensitive. You must be very close to the lamp for the remote control to work.
